Moonlight zen in Yosemite photos.

If you haven't had the opportunity to hike during a full moon, give it a try. There's a very peaceful quality to it. Well, at least once you have gotten over maroons shouting and jumping off the iconic Jeffrey Pine on Sentinel Dome just so they can take action pics :-(.

The above view was from Washburn Point. It's often unreal to see the colors captured by a digital camera when what our eyes see is mostly greys.

I'm not usually interested in shooting the nighttime lights while at Yosemite; I tend to view cars generally as pests :-). But, this was a case where it was quite something to see the valley in moonlight and the pattern the lights made. I did choose to keep more of the colors in this shot as the lights seemed to call for it.
